If Phoenix is the answer then it was mentioned here:
Many of us in that delegate meeting thought the show in Phoenix was in those large air conditioned tents.
Is that a possibility?  I have never been in such a structure but it appears someone has.
I am actually going to shut up now because I am just a gsp owner for 18 years.  I am not a breeder and have not contributed significantly to anything other then offering a sofa and home to some very fortunate gsps.  I am not a highly competitive person and really enjoy watching the shorthairs in the shows.  If Larry and I  go to the Nationals at any location it is to combine with little vacation to a nice location.  If we can go to Phoenix, I would love it.  I am confident that the club will work out the heat issue one way or another.  I am now going to vanish....  poof.

I do live within an hour of Gettysburg and I know one kennel club that holds a December show at the All-Sport site.  It is adjacent to the convention center proposed for the last casino license. The kennel club has concerns that the site will not be available it the casino is approved.  But... maybe the rooms would be cheaper???   http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2010/04/proposed_casino_would_be_inapp.html  is the most recent article I've seen.

Another site in Pennsylvania is the State Farm Show where Harrisburg holds their show in April and August.  They have plenty of parking, Harrisburg International airport is within 30 minutes and I-81 is < 1/2 mile from site.  I know it is expensive but they recently put up a Staybridge suites on a property adjacent.  Another possibility in the area is what used to be the Embers off of I-81 nr Carlisle. Several breed clubs hold their specialities there.  Don't know if they are indoors or outdoors but May in PA usually doesn't see 90 degree temperatures (except for last weekend).  Just food for thought.

I don't know...but that is the kind of info we need to hear about.  Anyone
who lives near there...can you check into that?  Given how conservative that
region is I would be quite surprised if that went through.  Gettysburg
enthusiasts cheered loudly when they tore the hugh observation tower down.
I would be very surprised a casino could get in that close to the
battlefield area.
