I recall that in the past there was a time when the delegates decided that none of the sites was a great choice.  It was decided to ask from new bids from the member clubs and a couple of months was given to do so.  I would suggest we look further, for a site that is within a half hour of a major airport.  If the NSSEC can come up with a checklist of what an optimal site would include, I think that members in the Eastern section would step up and find some better choices. 

 

As was the case with this year and 2012, the site we are using was not approved by the delegates unless I misread the minutes.  The delegates (ie: member clubs), should not have their rights to choose the NSS site taken away from them due to poor choices for sites provided.  The worst of a bad lot is still bad.
