Good morning fellow listers,
I have 2 wonderful GSP's I can no longer have the privilege to keep. I moved to TX from KY 6 months ago for a job offer. I have since been promoted, and now travel 50% of the time. I have the dogs in a boarding facility or sometimes a friend for approx 2 wks out of the month, then with me at home the remainder. I cannot justify keeping the dogs under these circumstances, and the costs are rising..
Roger- male- 2.5 yrs old. unaltered. Super human intelligence, smarter than most people you know. He is my best friend, and deserves only the best of homes. He lives inside with me, and loves to run. He has strong hunting lines, and has been started. Roger has tremendous drive, and amazingly willingness to work, hunt and please. He is fine around children, and toddlers that dont scream at the top of their lungs. He gets along great with all animals, including small dogs and cats. He is well socialized, but sometimes has an air of caution around men when he first meets them, but will quickly adapt to them. I need a home for him- either pet or hunting. He desperately loves to be in the field, with a HIGH energy drive, but I know nothing about hunting, and had paid a friend to keep him to get him started, back in KY. he is an allstar athlete, and I will only allow him to go to a home that wants an active
dog.
Raina- female 1.5 yrs old. unaltered, very smart girl. She has conformation training, and done very well in learning during her classes. She has helped me understand how to show a dog.. Her patience and willingness to please make her such a sweet girl, and a gift in my life. She is absolutely gorgeous, and I know she would do well in conformation events. she is very different from Roger in the aspect that she is more calm, and patient. she loves to play, and enjoys other dogs, as well as cats, kids, who dont scream, and all people. both dogs enjoy swimming and just being outdoors, at night they enjoy sharing my bed with me and watching animal planet during the day. Although active, she can commonly be found lying around on the couch with her blanket.
Its heart breaking I can no longer keep them, but I must do what is in their best interests, and give them a more stable home, one that I can no longer provide. I have contacted the co-breeders of Raina over a week ago, and have had no response. I can no longer find any info on Roger's breeder, so I have unfortunately not been able to reach her. I would love to see them go to a home together, if its possible.
I would like to sell the dogs to one home preferably, but will also sell separate., I can provide additional info regarding lines, pictures etc (later this evening when I return home). Please contact me privately. Thank you for your time in reading this, and please feel free to cross post.
Best Regards,
