No big deal for me Cathy. I'm not interested in the Tax Deduction, just interested in helping the dogs. Just responding to Jennifer wanting it to come from GSPCA. That would be a solution to that.

If you wait for GSPCA to do it they would have to wait for several
auctions to finish before sending a check, they cannot send a check for
each auction. If you individually send the money via paypal they will
have it as soon as you send it after you get paid for your item. Money
will get to the dogs who need it much faster if you send it yourself.
Plus then you get the tax deduction, justy print out a copy of the
Paypal transaction for your files. FWIW JMO.

Jennifer, we can just forward our monies from the Auctions to GSPCA
Rescue and they can send one check on Behalf of GSP Breeders.
Nancy, can it be done this way? Sounds simple enough to me.

I don't know who would do it or how it could be managed but it's a
shame GSPCA rescue cannot run it's own online auction, not only could
all the money go directly to
the dogs but GSPCA could be documented as
the donor for the dogs in need. It just would show that we GSPCA
breeders take care of our own when they end up in rescue. Right now
with the money going directly to Paws (don't get me wrong it's fabulous
for the dogs), but if the cash came from GSPCA, it would show where
the support is coming from: GSP Breeders themselves.

I have quite a GOOD Life thank you very much! Just thought it would be good PR in light of all the animal rights propaganda if it was more visible that GSP Breeders CARE about taking care of their own. The animal Rights folks certainly make their efforts Public in every way. I am quite aware that the money is going to the right place either way.
And let's see .....where did you place the two dogs I sold you, supposedly a loving permanent show home for life? Are they spayed and neutered? Did you breed them? Did you offer to give them back to the breeder when you could no longer provide them a permanent loving home for life after you used them in your breeding program? Hmmmm....who needs to get a life?

One was GIVEN to the perfect home for life with "no papers", which considering her temperment was not easy to find, the other was SOLD to a very loving home for life "with papers", and had he not bonded immediately with that person, he would not have gone there. Had you responded to my emails and phone calls regarding both, you would have had the opportunity to reacquire them without any monitary exchange required. You chose to ignore my emails and phone calls until you saw them advertised online.
I don't believe this is the appropriate forum for your discussion of you bad decision and I believe you should appologize to everyone for your inappropriateness.

My bad decision was certainly ever selling you a dog. I think this is a great forum for letting everyone know exactly what you did with your first and only AKC champion. He is with a backyard breeder. I was never offered the dogs back you never called me, you sent one email where you announced that you were selling them. You announced that I could Buy them....or else. You knew I had just paid 4 times the price paid to get one back from your best friend and running buddy and you wanted to see what $ you could get by threatening me. You wrote me an email letting me know that the male had gone to a backyard breeder, and you said ha ha since he had my kennel name on him, everyone would think I sold him there. Not so. Once you use dogs in your breeding program you OWE them a really good life or return them to their breeder no strings. I would
certainly have taken them back, that was NOT OFFERED. You wanted money.....
Now, lets get back to the business of helping these 75.
And I was just getting so proud of us for all uniting to combat the animal rights folks. SIGH.

Oops, atleast I didn't place mine with a junior handler who allowed the bitch to be bred with a beagle....
First and formost, the dogs new owner is not a backyard breeder....whether you care to believe that or not, and that does not just come from me. I had him checked out by a person with the local spca there and was told the dog is being very well cared for and had been neutered. I never threatend you with anything as your warped mind imagines. I never asked for payment from you, you assumed and never responded to my emails and phone calls as a responsible breeder would have done, atleast not until I posted him for sale online. As for your "ha ha" statement you said "ha ha since he had my kennel name on him,...", I would never do that to anyone, even if I did not trust or like them, and anyone who thinks that way must have done it to someone else in the past. You are the one who has a penchant for threatening people, going so far as to not sign off on litter papers and such until you get your way. Anyone associated with a !
breeding with your dogs had better beware and get everything in writing and noterized! As for him being a champion, we all know the truth to that... As for my friend that brought the bitch back... it took her over a year to finish her which she paid for completely, she paid for all her health clearances, which we all know is not inexpensive, plus she had a litter mate that has severe thyroid and cardiac issues, who has now been placed in another new home. Hopefully she won't bite anyone in this one as she did in the last. Several gsp breeders contacted her to tell her not to return her to you because she would be euthanized to prevent anyone knowing about her health issues. We also know that there are 4 dogs on the east coast that come from your bloodlines that have SAS... so who is the responsible breeder here.

I never asked for payment from you, you assumed and never responded to my emails and phone calls as a responsible
breeder would have done, atleast not until I posted him for sale online. As for my friend that brought the bitch back... it took her over a year to finish her which she paid for completely, she paid for all her health clearances, which we all know is not inexpensive, plus she had a litter mate that has severe thyroid and cardiac issues, who has now
been placed in another new home. -----Original Message----- From: Berihill To: gsp-l@web.whc.net Sent: Tue, 3 Mar 2009 3:09 pm Subject: Re: [gsp-l] Auction fund raisers
I would
certainly have taken th! em back, that was NOT OFFERED. You wanted money.....
Now, lets get back to the business of helping these 75.
And I was just getting so proud of us for all uniting to combat the animal rights folks. SIGH.

I don't know who would do it or how it could be managed but it's a shame GSPCA rescue cannot run it's own online auction, not only could all the money go directly to the dogs but GSPCA could be documented as the donor for the dogs in need. It just would show that we GSPCA breeders take care of our own when they end up in rescue. Right now with the money going directly to Paws (don't get me wrong it's fabulous for the dogs), but if the cash came from GSPCA, it would show where the support is coming from: GSP Breeders themselves.

I have contacted my VIP Rep. to see if Purina might drop ship a large
volume of food or send some food coupons that can then be passed on to the
appropriate Foster homes and or rescue groups. I have spoken with Judy and am
waiting to hear back soon. Hopefully, this will offset some of the food costs.
I'll keep you posted.
