The mailing list will continue as it is, so for those who wish to continue to receive individual emails and post to the list by emailing, you don't need to do anything.  The new web site will mirror all the posts here, and for those that want to sign up on the new board to participate in the other discussions available there, you need to go to the site and sign up.  This is ONLY if you want to join the board (which does include personal blogs and some amount of photo gallery storage (haven't decided yet)).

 

Once you do sign up there, the board will send out a verification number in an email.  Once you get that, log back in and enter it where requested.

 

Again, if you don't want to join the board you don't have to.  The gsp-l mailing list will continue in the format it is in for at least the near future.

I've been on the list since 2003 or before.  I checked my early list e-mails (that I saved), but did not locate my verification number.  Sorry.  I would like to remain on the list!

The new shorthairs.net page is almost ready to go live.  Lots of new features for members including a photo gallery, blogs, and an updated message board.  The message board includes gsp-l, vhd-l and working-gundog forums, which mirror the existing mailing lists.  Posts to the list will also appear on the message board.  Note that for this to work, it automatically uses your email name (the part in front of the @) as a username on the message board.  You do not need to join the new web site in order to continue to use the lists, you can just ignore the message the board sends out.
 
Still in final testing, but take a look around at http://web.whc.net/shorthairs and email me with any questions or comments.
