2 weeks old and all 12 still going strong.Their eyes are open and they have realized that they have vocal cords!!

| Daisy is doing very well. I took her out in the yard yesterday and did some retrieving,steadiness with 2 pigeons, and a little table work. She enjoyed the 15 minute break and the chance to run a little. |

Fat like ticks. I love it.
I was reading the posts about the scale...I use a scale, and I actually didn't find it as helpful as just feeling the puppies. Puppies who are having problems feel "empty." You will know it when you feel it. Puppies who are feeding and growing feel full and heavy. Plus weighing before or after feeding can affect the -. I'm not saying weighing is a bad idea. It's just not the ONLY tool to use, so don't get obsessive.
(My puppies were a toy breed, not gsps.) |

The scale was helpful.Since she had such a large litter it was very useful in determining who was not getting enough time with Daisy. They are all over 5 lbs now and a few are rapidly approaching 6lbs. |

| gsptdaisy - I used the scales with Halo's litter for the same reason. At first I weighed them twice a day and as they got older, just once a day. |

Well, that is a good point...you have bigger litters than I did. But the reason I said the thing about the scales is that I can get obsessive about number; feeling them was helpful when someone didn't really gain one day. If they feel plumpy, then I know they are ok, it was just a fluke.
Your puppies are lovely. They make me miss puppy breath! aaaaah.... |
