I am pleased to announce Traditions Shorthairs B Litter. I was very fortunate to breed my female,Sternjagers Call to the hunt, Callie, to the truly exceptional DC/AFC Odyssey's Kurzhaars V Riverwood's, Rip, owned by Chuck and Judy Parietti from Odyssey Kennels. This is a line breeding on Rip and the other amazing dogs found throughout his pedigree. Pups are expected to be on the ground the first week of April.

Although there are many terrrific attributes in which we were looking to achieve with this pairing, more than anything we are looking to produce a GSP where form and function meet in hunting instinct and conformation. Pups from this litter will be at home in the field with the foot hunter as well as the in front of the fire place.

Please contact me if you have any questions at 314.518.5830 or dhughes@jhf.com . The pedigree for the pups and the sire/dam OFA certification numbers are found below.

Thanks for considering Traditions Shorthairs!

Callie OFA #:  GSP-14930G32F-NOPI, rated "Good"

Rip OFA #:  GSP-9789G24M-PI, rated "Good"

Down to about three weeks to go and my girl is really starting to show.  Below is a picture taken on a hunt I guided the day we got back from Chuck and Judy's.  The next couple of weeks are not going to go by fast enough!

Thank you for the kind words.  A friend of mine whelped a litter last night and sent pictures over this morning.  Its impossible not to dream the big dreams when you look at a pile of puppies!  I can't wait for mine.

Well after a long Sunday afternoon and evening we are the proud parents of 7 girls and 2 boys.  Mom and pups are all doing well and we could not be happier.  They starting popping about 5:30:  girl, girl, girl, girl... really!  I started double checking I was not missing something.  Then, finally on number 5, our first boy showed up.  The last one was our second boy.

I have three little gals left sometime around the 2nd-3rd week of June.

And I just bred a litter April 4, via frozen semen...my BIS/DC Singltrak-NMK American Hero (that's he in my avatar) to his granddaughter, Ch Singltrak Hailstorm Effervesce (Hailey). All paws, toes and fingers (and even eyes crossed). Sounds like April 4 could wind up being a lucky day!

Congrats on your new litter, they are lovely little munchkins!

Congratulations on a beautiful litter. Can't wait to see more pictures of the kids.

Howdy all.  Just wanted to pass along a quick update on the litter.  Everyone is healthy and happy.  I just can't say it enough times... They grow so fast!  Attached is one of the few pictures where I could get them all in the same frame.  Also a picture of my head socializer!  Last but not least, we still have three little girls available to go home the first part of June.

Thanks!

My parents' dog is from Shooting Starr's as well. Here name is Shooting Starr's Katy Did It. That pedigree definitely stood out to me. I'll have to let my dad know.
