I am pleased to announce the upcoming litter between Higgins and Trego. Higgins from Steve Ries at Top Gun kennels in Iowa is a proven sire of great foot hunting German Shorthaired Pointer. He has produced many NAVHDA and AKC Hunt test titled dogs. I own and hunt the dam Trego, and she is a medium range foot hunter that has nice style and drive. Both parents are DNA'd and OFA'd. Sire is OFA good and dam is OFA Excellent. Both dogs have great temperaments and will produce pups that will please you around the house and in the field. Pups should be whelped mid to late April 2008. The pups will be whelped in Delaware, Ohio about 20 miles north of Columbus. Here are some photos of both dogs. First one is Trego pheasant hunting at 4 weeks pregnant in 2006. Second one is her winning her second major and finishing her AKC show title in 2007.Next two are of Higgins, and the last one is from a recent Iowa wild pheasant hunting trip November 2007.

It is only about three weeks before I head out to Iowa to breed Trego to Higgins.
In an effort to get these puppies to really good hunting/testing homes I am offering to refund the cost of the deposit $100 to any puppy buyer that gets a NAVHDA Na prz I or II, SH or MH, FC or CH titles on any of the pups. Higgins has produced 16 Na prz I's,5 Na prz II's and several MH's so far. CH Never Complain Regardless was dropped off in Iowa yesterday to be bred to Jaegerhof's Sir Henry Higgins MH. There are still some reservation spots available. These pups should be whelped around May 1st. $100 deposit reserves your spot for this exciting litter.
The dam is my personal gun dog and our family pet. Both her parents are CH,s and her father has FT points and JH. Sire is an excellent wild bird dog and has produced 23 NAVHDA Na prizes and several MH's. Higgins parents are both CH's and his sire has FT points as well. Trego is finally back from her two week mating marathon. Steve Ries was very impressed with her temperament and manners, and said she was one of the nicest females he has had in there for breeding. If all went well the pups should be whelped in early May. I still have a couple of reservation spots available. I am still looking for a buyer that has done a lot of walking FT's, Hunt test, or NAVHDA stuff,to see what these dogs are made of.
