Looking for my new dog....

This dog will have big PAWS to fill, my wonderful GPS "Allie" had to be put down due to cancer a while back and it's time for another dog in our house.

Looking for a SMART dog with the BEST disposition... This dog is going to live in the house, be the family dog and hunt a few times a year.

I'm on 2.5 acrea's in Chukar and quail country.

I'm in Ridgecrest, Ca.

I've been digging around on this site and the web but have yet to find a good fit yet.  Most of the breeders I've called had only males.  We are firm on female only.

Happy to get PM's about any available pups.

Update.

Still looking and we've refinded what we are looking for:
Pup from a pairing that both parents run well inside the breed standard.

We're looking for a small female or even a runt that might be undersize.

Chutist,
after reading your refined requirements I think the bar is way to low,I can't imagine what the requirements were before you refined them.

Have you thought about hips, health, eyes, temperment and calmness,to mention a few?
A good dog comes in either sex.

Why thank you for you kind and thoughtful suggestions.

I think you've made some rash assumptions and failed to read my original post.

I've noticed a trend in your postings on the GPS forums, perhaps you should consider stepping back for a period of self examination?

You did forgot one VERY important trait in a well rounded GPS- The temperament of the breeder.

Please refrain from "helping" me in the future. If I require your assistance, I'll be sure to inquire.

It's GSP.German Shorthaired Pointer.
GPS is Global Positioning System.

Good luck with your search.

So you found the typo but missed the point.

I'm asking you nicely a second time to please go bother someone else.

So I am clear, I am asking you not to post in responce to my topic.

I have reported your posts to the moderator.

Amen.

I completely understand that you have different concerns then others on the forum. Sorry some people can be so condescending. We have 2 females and 1 male so I can understand preferring a female over a male. Good luck in your search let me know if I can be any help.

Just remember to check those health clearances. You may find yourself paying more for a pup but it will be worth it in the long run!

I have two females and a male and I love my boy as much as my girls.  They are just different.  I know there are allot of good breeders out there that have puppies now so just keep looking and you will find a match, and when you do we want to see pictures.

Are you definite about a female?  I have an awesome male, neutered.  He's beautiful - 13 mos. old - house broken, trained on and off leash - crate trained, all shots, registered with AKC, I have his lineage if you're interested.

I work from home, so this dog has had tons of attention and is really well socialized.  He LOVES other dogs, enjoys children ... yes, even those pulling on his ears and trying to hug him.

Although he is quite happy to hang outside, he is even more thrilled to sleep with me - although it's a bit of a fight sometimes to get my fair share of the bed.  ;-)  But when I get really frustrated he just goes "nite-nite" in his crate.

He really is a love ... but I've taken a bad financial fall and I just don't have the money to maintain his healthy livestyle.

Let me know if you'd be interested in a neutered male ... he's typical dark brown with flecks.  I have photos, but these sites typically need really small files and my photos are bigger ... like 5 MB ...

Oops ... My bad ... I didn't see the thread and just posted to your original message.  Please disregard.  I understand you just want a female and trust me ... he's all male.  :-)
