Update: Xrays show 7 or 8 BIG puppies, which we expect to make their appearance this weekend. Not long now!

Thanks much! Her temp was down a little this morning, so I don't think we'll make it past the weekend. I promise - lots of photos. It's been a long time since we had a litter, and I'm so looking forward to these babies.

Thanks Phyllis! I made the grocery store run last night and cooked her more of my special homemade mama dog food. She's an odd one - doesn't refuse to eat even towards the end - provided she gets her special food that is. Temp was 98.6 this morning so looks like sometime today.

Would be nice if she had them during the day, but then you wouldn't get to stay up all night. Good luck with the delivery.

Thanks guys! She's making me want to tear my hair out. She is clearly in early labor, but doing her best to hold it off - trying to wait for dark I imagine. Shaking, sweaty feet, chattery teeth all off and on but only one or two real contractions. I hate this part.

One quick update - more tomorrow when I'm not exhausted. Willow had one tiny stillborn that obviously died time ago, then delivered two large, healthy girls at home. She started having trouble I think because they are all large pups and ended up having a C-section. We lost one that was in the birth canal, but in the end we have 3 girls and 3 boys and mama is doing well.

I am glad Willow and pups are doing well.  Get some well deserved rest.

p.s. If they are like their parents, a walking trial might be a challenge . For me anyway. For walking trials I leave the handling to Blair the mountain goat.

I am glad everything turned out okay, that must have been a nerve racking experience.  Isn't the next 3-4 weeks so much fun before they become little diablo's. Congrats!

These pups have WHEELS already. I have never seen babies so all over the box so young. A couple of them are already up off their bellies, trying to walk a few steps. I am amazed.
