I am so glad I found this helpful website - much of what I have read confirmed what I am thinking about my new GSP, Cora. There is one problem I am having that I have not found much on yet - hopefully someone can point me to a past blog or comment... and that is leash pulling. Cora is 6 months, great in the house, easy to teach - she knows all of her basic commands, and many fun tricks that keep her busy. She is great at fetch and gets lots of off leash exercise. However, I have been unable to get her leash pulling in check. I have read 5 books, watched all the videos on Youtube, and .... nothing seems to work. She is "good" for short spans then starts pulling like a crazy dog. I use various "stop pull" halters - and none work. She just does not care. I feel like I have not found a way to get her to understand what I want - I worked for 10 minute intervals 2 times per day for 10 days on just one training method - and we only made the tiniest improvement. I was stopping immediately any time there
