I found Wachter (pronounced Vector) in the ditch when he was approximatly 4 to 5 weeks old. Someone had just cropped his tail, and bless his little heart, he was wet, cold and scared. I am used to female Shih-tzus, so when I found a small puppy that was the size of my full grown girls. I had no idea of what I was getting into. He had just recently had his tail cropped, to the point that only a scab covered the spot. After a desperate search to find his owners, it became obvious that he had been abandoned. By that time he was entrenched in our hearts, and at the foot of my bed. Now I am dealing with issues of him jumping up on counters, taking whatever he wants, despite working with him on the leash since the beginning, he is starting to pull. I am at my wits end on how to train him and work with him. While I have a large yard, it is not fenced so he can only go free when we walk to the school ground in good weather. I am open to any suggestions on training, and guidance that I could get. He has been
